The Philippine Embassy in South Korea recently issued an announcement concerning all Filipino citizens currently residing in the peninsula, as well as all foreigners who wished to apply for a visa using the different consular services offered by their diplomatic office in Seoul.
According to the Embassy’s news bulletin, starting October 1st, 2010, all services required for the process of the following documents in their consulate office (Philippine Passport, Visa for Foreigners, Notarized Documents, NBI and Police Clearances, Marriage Certificates et. Al.) will be subjected to an increase of fees in accordance to the currency adjustment (in relation to the Dollar to South Korean Won Exchange Rate) mandated by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs.
There will also be a new ‘express service’ offered by the Embassy to expedite the issuance process for all notarized and authenticated certificates and documents. An additional processing fee of US $10.00 (South Korean 13,420 Won) is required for all applicants wishing to avail of this express service scheme. The ‘express processing service’ will also be implemented, together with the ‘re-adjusted service fee increase’, on October 1st, 2010.
