The Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), through their official website, has finally released the full list of all the successful Filipino examinees who recently took the 7th Korean Language Test (KLT) (also known as Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
The exams were held at different venues located on key cities all over the Philippines and were conducted by the POEA in cooperation with the Human Resource Development Service Korea (HRD Korea). Passing the KLT/TOPIK exam is one of the major requirements needed by all qualified Filipino applicants wishing to be included in the manpower list for the South Korea’s Employment Permit System (EPS).
The South Korean Employment Permit System (EPS) is a foreign worker recruitment method introduced by South Korea (in cooperation with governments from other countries currently included in this system) in 2004. In this recruitment scheme, only the authorized government agencies from South Korea (the HRD Korea) and other countries (in the case of the Philippines, the POEA) are allowed to accept, hire, and deploy all potential foreign workers to South Korea. The Korean Employment Permit System replaced the Alien Industrial Trainee System. The Alien Industrial Trainee System was the old method used by the Korean government and business alike to recruit and hire foreign workers aspiring to work in South Korea from private recruiters and agencies.
